The Eye Guys Are Coming to Town!
Hey, guys! Wanted to let you know about a special clinic(s) given by Ryan Harrisan of SLOW THE GAME DOWN. He and his father, Dr. Bill Harrisan, are vision specialists who have created a very successful method for athletes of all kinds to learn and train the Visual Side of the game. Their techniques especially benefit softball and baseball players. They've worked with organizations like the LA Angels, Atlanta Braves, Cincinnati Reds, as well as Collegiate teams that include Long Beach State, Fresno State and Wichita State. Bill and Ryan are proud to have taught their method to Big Leaguers like Sean Casey, Jason Giambi, Shawn Green, Mike Sweeney and Dave Belluci.
I met the Harrisans in So Cal while I was a player and was excited by their work. I've wanted to connect them to our local players and coaches for a long time, and Ryan is planning to come to Vancouver in jsut a few weeks! He offers clinics for small groups (4-6 players), as well as coaches clinics. His dates are FRIDAY OCTOBER 23 (eve), SATURDAY OCTOBER 24 (one morning and one afternoon clinic). Ryan will be holding his clinics on the North Shore.
We guarantee you'll be glad you participated. These will be small groups and may fill up quick, so please CONTACT ME with questions, and click this poster for registration info!

Off Season 2009
Hey there, players, coaches, parents, and fans of the game...
After a fantastic extended Vancouver summer there's finally a chill in the air, and unless you're headed for the World Series, this is the time to get your off-season training started. I'm going to do everything I can to improve young athletes' overall athleticism and baseball skills so that you and your team can stay in the game, and be better players for the upcoming season. I plan to be available to you in the cage at UBC, at baseball conditioning classes at Twist Sport Conditioning in North Van, out in White Rock for hitting Sunday mornings 8-12, in the gym with SVLL (see below) and I'm working on a few other promising locations for both group and individual coaching and training as well.
South Van Little League's Skill Clinics are starting this week at McKenzie Elementary School Gym (39th and Windsor) and they run on Tuesdays and Fridays from 6-8....younger players come in at 6:00 and the older players come in at 7:00. These clinics go Sept 29--December 4 and I'd love to see all you SVLLers out there. There's still room to register if you want to join in...Call Head Coach Brian Perry at 778-882-1990 or email baseball@svll.ca
While I'm at it, I want to give a shout out to South Van Little League's fine staff of coaches and volunteers...my little guy had a great time playing T-Ball during his first SVLL season last spring. Coaches like Brad Haysom and every other dad (and mom) giving their time to run the League and cheering on each other's kids, are pure gold to the development of our young players and the future of the sport in this city.
Alright. Keep in touch and drop me a line at coachpritch@msn.com if you want to talk about your team's off-season schedule. There will be new groups and leagues starting up at various locations, some one-off camps and clinics and I'll make time for as much individual coaching as I can too. My trusty assistant, Batgirl, and I will keep you posted. Just subscribe to or follow my blog if you want to keep up with us. And feel free to comment below.
See you out there!
